CHiPS Open House: A Chance to See Your Donations in Action

Curious to find out what goes on behind the scenes at the CHiPS soup kitchen and women’s shelter? Ever wondered how we manage to feed up to 250 hungry people every day? Now is your chance to find out…

For Giving Tuesday this year, we’re asking the local community to raise money to get us through the winter. It doesn’t matter whether you donate $40 from a cake sale or $1000 from a sponsored skydive. What matters is that everyone “CHiPS in.” If we each do something small, collectively we can make an incredible difference.

But just how much of a difference can your fundraising efforts make? As you know, with every $25, we can feed 15 guests in our soup kitchen. And with $75, we can provide a week’s shelter for a mother and her newborn. But all of that sounds so abstract. We want you to really see how much your donations help.

That’s why we’re inviting you to a CHiPS Open House. This will be your chance to see behind the scenes in our soup kitchen and shelter. From 4pm to 8pm on Giving Tuesday (December 2), we’ll be throwing open our doors so you can see what we do – and how your donations help us do it.

We’ll be serving snacks and drinks, and you’ll also get a chance to speak to some of our volunteers.

If you’d like to join us on Giving Tuesday, please RSVP on our event page. We really look forward to seeing you there!
