Please note that CHiPS will be closed on Friday June 18, 2021 in observance of Juneteenth. Now a federal holiday, Juneteenth celebrates the anniversary of the day that slaves in Galveston, Texas were informed that they were finally free. This very special announcement was made by the U.S. Army, who were responsible for enforcing the emancipation proclamation, which had been signed two years prior. Juneteenth is now observed by all 50 states. While we are closed this Friday, we will be happy to greet you again on Monday, June 21st. Thank you, and have a great weekend.
