“Some places give food that’s been frozen. Here, it’s very good. You can tell that it’s homemade.”
—Momo
Here at CHiPS, we believe in food, friendship, hope, and dignity for all. This is why we strive everyday to serve only high-quality, fresh food prepared in-house, food that we would all gladly eat ourselves, to more than 195 hungry New Yorkers, six days a week. Our commitment to fresh food is one of the reasons why our guests return to us time after time, like Momo, pictured above. Each of our lunch bags are filled with freshly prepared hot meals, snacks, and bottled water, to offer a bright spot, a reprieve, to our guests in the midst of the unbearable challenges that they face every day.
With your help, we can continue to serve our guests, like Momo, all year round with healthy, satisfying meals that give them a little bit of hope each day. A gift of $30 can help us provide 8 meals at just over $3 each. That’s less than a cup of coffee at a cafe. A gift of $566 would house 2 families for 1 month in our Frances Residence. Every gift in between means a world of difference to our residents and guests. Please stand with us against hunger and housing insecurity by clicking on the donate button below to make a tax-deductible gift today. You can also help by becoming a volunteer. We can always use an extra hand in the soup kitchen or to distribute meals to our guests.
